Baked Bananas with Ice Cream and Toffee Sauce - TastyPlanner.com

This is ridiculously easy to make, so don’t let the long name fool you. If you are surprised by a whole heard of guests one night and need a fast, cheap, easy, and delicious dessert look to ye olde banana for help.
Ingredients
4 large bananas
1/2 cup brown sugar
5 tbsp heavy cream
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Put the unpeeled bananas in an oven proof dish and bake for 15-20 min until the skins are very dark (black) and the flesh feels soft when squeezed.
Meanwhile, heat the brown sugar in a small sauce pan with 5 tbsp of water until dissolved. Bring to a boil and add the cream. Cook for 5 min or until thickened. Remove from heat.
Transfer the baked bananas in their skins to serving plates and split them lengthways to reveal the flesh. Pour some sauce over them and serve with ice cream.
