Barbara's Granola - TastyPlanner.com

This is a granola recipe I got from my sister Barbara.
Ingredients
6 cups rolled oats (or a combination of oats, wheat, rye, millet etc. flakes [4-6 c.])
1 cup raw wheat germ
1 cup wheat bran
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup raw almonds
1 cup raw cashews
3 cups raisins
1/2 cup raw peanuts (leave out if you can’t find them)
1/2 cup flax seeds (optional)
1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds (optional)
1 1/2 cups canola oil
1 1/4 cups honey (can make part of this molasses)
1/2 cup water
Instructions
Mix together the dry ingredients. Mix oil, honey and water and heat until simmering. Pour over the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly, and spread into several shallow pans. Cook at low heat (325) until browned, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and add raisins (around 2-3 cups or more) while the mixture is hot. Cool and store in airtight containers.
