Crock Pot Chocolate Lava Brownies - TastyPlanner.com
Chef: Jennifer *peas*
It’s just ridiculous. Rich, warm, and….ridiculous, really.
Ingredients
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup water
2 Tablespoon cocoa
2 1/2 cups brownie powder-mix (this is about 1/2 of a package)
1 egg
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 Tablespoon soft butter or margarine
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup milk-chocolate chips (optional - I always opt IN)
Instructions
Combine 3/4 cup water, brown sugar, and cocoa in a pan. Bring to a boil.
For the batter: Separately combine the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together well. Spread the batter evenly in the bottom of a lightly buttered slow cooker/Crock Pot.
Gently pour water/cocoa/brown sugar mixture over the batter.
Cover, placing two paper towels between the pot and the lid (to catch excess moisture) and cook on high for 2-3 hours. Try to refrain from opening up the Crock Pot lid, it will help ensure the cooking temperatures. Afterwards, turn heat off and let stand for about 30 minutes. Then eat it.
Note, this isn’t really your normal, cut-able cake/brownie. You’ll want to spoon this into dessert dishes while still warm. Great served with Cool Whip or ice cream. And while you COULD eat the whole thing…you’ll probably want to share.
