Bircher Muesli with Fruit - TastyPlanner.com

As someone who never had oatmeal of any sort until I was an adult, this has quickly become my favourite breakfast treat. So filling and absolutely delicious.
Ingredients
3/4 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup apple juice, heated
1 green apple, sliced
other seasonal fruit, washed and sliced as necessary
sliced almonds, toasted
yoghurt
honey
Instructions
Heat apple juice in microwave and place in bowl with oats. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand for 30 minutes.
In the meantime, wash and slice fruits. Toast almonds over low heat with the smallest bit of olive oil until lightly browned.
When oats are ready, fold apples through. Don’t stir too much, or it gets mushy. Put in serving bowls. Top with a few spoonfuls of yoghurt, your remaining fruit, almonds, and a drizzle of honey.
- Note: Orange juice can be substituted, but it’s not my favourite.
